Night Bluebird - Pajaro Nocturno

A watercolor I made tonight while I was hearing "Terra Nova". I really enjoy what this guy J.J. Abrams is doing on TV but I just love his movies ( I almost cryed when I saw Super 8, but to be honest, I'm an easy target).

Una acuarela que hice esta noche mientras escuchaba "Terra Nova" . De verdad que me gusta lo que hace J.J. Abrams en la tele pero mas en el cine (Me encantó Super 8 pero yo soy un target facil para eso)

Pues nada gente, una tira rápida de Napoleón. El chiste era hacerla en la hora de la comida del trabajo, por eso se ve diferente a las otras y es mas cortita. Dejen sus comentarios para saber que les parece.

So that's it people a new Napoleon strip. I did it during the lunch break at work that's why looks different and it's considerably shorter than other Napoleon strips. Leave a comment to say what you think about it.

Gazpacho

Esta es mi primera comisión. Es una tira que va a estar incluida en el piloto de una revista para niños que quizá empiece a publicarse acá en México. El chiste era hacer un comic que tuviera un toque de ciencia, así que se me ocurrió un hamster ...ejem...si este es otro hamster (Napoleon me observa molesto desde su casita) y se llama Gazpacho y su dueña es Anna Molly quien es una diseñadora gráfica que debe lidiar con el pequeño y maquiavelico roedor.

Well this is my first comission. Is a little strip that will be included in a pilot of a new kids magazine that will be publish here in México. The concept was trying to draw a comic that have a touch of science. So I draw a hamster ( A different hamster from Napoleon who is my favorite son) whose name is Gazpacho and it's owner is Anna Molly, a graphic designer who must deal with this maquiavelic rodent.

Translation:

2. is the nearest star after the sun! wow!

4. Anna Molly: I Wont' let you tie the neighbor's dog to a rocket doesnd't matter how much you insist! Gazpacho: Your lack of faith in my space program is evident.

¿Alguna vez les he dicho que soy arquitecto? Estos son algunos de los renders que hice para poder aterrizar las ideas de mi tesis (que es un Centro Cultural en la colonia Del Valle). Estos son también de los primeros renders que hice en la carrera. Son imágenes correspondientes a la librería, la galería y la entrada del recinto.

Have I ever told you that I'm an architect? these are some of the renders that I did to settle down the ideas of my thesis ( Which is a cultural center proposed nearby my home). These are also my first attempts of making renders (from the 2009). These are the images of the library, the gallery and the entrance of the place.

Unas acuarelas que hice en casa de mi tio en el 2009 me parece. Cada vez que tengo vacaciones aprovecho para ir con el una temporada por que es como mi sifu. En el segundo se puede ver una caja de Pronto junto a su cajetilla de Benson and Hedges (antes claro de que tuvieran que llevar una rata muerta o un feto). Tambien hay unas hormigas guerreras porque recuerdo que en ese entonces estaba leyendo a Ursula LeGuinn lo que me inspiraba a pensar en historias de fantasia ...y algunas incluian hormigas guerreras.

Some watercolors I made at my uncle's home on the 2009. Everytime I have vacations I go to spend some time with him because he is kinda my sifu. On the second one you can see a box of Pronto (the stuff we use here in Mexico to make hotcakes) nearby his pack of Benson and Hedges (note from the author: Here in Mexico there is a ridiculous law that forces cigarette makers to put a dead fetus or a dead rat in every pack of cigarettes just to remind smokers that somke can kill...nonsense I mean just leave the freaking smokers do whatever they want for christ sake!) There are also some ant warriors...just because I was kinda into Ursula LeGuinn and some fantasy readings that inspire me to think about that stuff.
